Humber Business Week 2016!

This year we’ll be hosting two exciting events for the 2016 Humber Business week! Paul Sewell will be joined by legendary Rugby League star Jamie Peacock to compare their winning strategies in business and in sport and our Project Manager Martin Standley will be discussing the simple art of making a cup of tea and how to use these methods to master project management! Find out more about both events and how you can see them below.

The anatomy of the winner, with Paul Sewell and Jamie Peacock

Jamie Peacock MBE is a legendary International Rugby League star who has won almost everything the game has to offer.

Dr Paul Sewell OBE has built a local East Hull family firm into a leading Yorkshire business and a Sunday Times Top 10 Best Company to Work For.

As Jamie now swaps his tracksuit and dressing room for business attire and an office as Director of Football at Hull KR, he is working with Paul to make the transition and capture the essence of winning from both worlds.

In ten 3 minute rounds they will go head to head to compare and contrast winning characteristics and strategies in business and in sport.

A fascinating and stimulating knowledge exchange awaits – but there can be only one winner!

This event is taking place on the 8th June, at Sewell Studio, Geneva Way, Leads Road, Hull.

You can book onto this event here on the Humber Business Week website.

The simple art of making a cup of tea – premier league project management

Project Manager Martin Standley is currently leading the Sewell Construction team that is delivering the £30m student residences on behalf of the University of Hull.

At this event, Martin will apply his learnings in project management and leadership to simple everyday tasks, such as making a cup of tea, and help you transfer those skills into the workplace.

This event is taking place on the 10th June, at the University of Hull Student Residences, Inglemire Lane, Hull
