Kingswood Parks Primary School, Extension

Extension

Kingswood Parks Primary School is located on the Kingswood residential development in North Hull, educating over 350 pupils from ages 3 to 11.

Due to an increase in housing in the area there is a need to expand to a 630 pupil capacity school.

Sewell Construction built the original school which opened in 2014 and worked with partners Hull Esteem Consortium and Hull City Council to develop the design and construction programme for the school’s extension. Work began on site in May 2017, with minor works taking place to provide temporary classrooms for the school before work began on their new extension.

The scheme will comprise of a new build extension and re-modelling of the existing school.

Children from the school marked the first milestone of the development in September, by signing the steel for their new extension, leaving a lasting legacy. Read more here.

Currently on site:

  • Work is progressing on the internal wall construction
  • Work on the mechanical & electrical installations are continuing.
  • Over the coming weeks, plastering will begin on the second floor, while continuing the external brick and block work.
