Sewell Safety Students' 100% success
Sewell Group is pleased to announce a 100% pass rate on its industry accredited safety course – IOSH Managing Safely.
Managers from local businesses took part in, and all successfully passed the four day training course giving them the skills and resources to effectively manage health and safety in their place of work.
One of the successful students Dave Skinner, from Kingstown Works Ltd, said:
“From day one everyone was made to feel at ease. We were encouraged to ask questions no matter how complex or trivial, but to be honest, the course content was easy to understand. We all had to complete a risk assessment on our own work place, which made it relevant to the job role and easy to practically apply day to day.”
The course is part of the new Studio Series, a selection of health and safety courses now available from Sewell Group. Director Richard Greaves said:
“We use a range of delivery methods for our courses as we appreciate people prefer different methods of learning. We’re really pleased with the 100% pass rate; interest and delegate numbers have been steadily increasing over the last six months too.”
Paul Sewell, Managing Director of the Group, commented on the new service offer as part of the ever evolving local company. He said:
“Over the years we’ve listened and acted on our customers’ feedback to ensure we remain relevant in the marketplace and continue to provide products and services that matter.”
“Just over ten years ago we extended our service offer from Investments, Developments and Construction, to include Facilities Management. This meant we were able to look after all aspects of buildings, from day to day maintenance to compliance checks, leaving our customers to concentrate on their day to day business. Facilities Management at Sewell has grown at a steady pace, we now have over 50 skilled staff, all from the local area, and a 24/7 helpdesk.”
“Then last year we added Health and Safety services to the Group offer. It compliments the long established Sewell service range and is of great importance to our customer base, who of course want to ensure comfort and safety in their place of work.”
