With less than half a dozen spaces left and a week to go, Sewell is predicting a full house for the next Let’s Talk Leadership session at Sewell 360.
Following a lively first session with Jim Dick of Catzero and Richard King of Tom Peters Company, the next line up was eagerly awaited.
On the 19th September, Leader of East Riding of Yorkshire Council Cllr Stephen Parnaby will be in the hot seat alongside business leader Terry Hodgkinson CBE, who successfully led Yorkshire Forward for seven years.
Councillor Stephen Parnaby OBE, leader of East Riding of Yorkshire Council, said:
“I was delighted to accept Sewell Group’s invitation to speak as part of their Let’s Talk Leadership series, which is helping local businesses and organisations seize opportunities, position themselves as industry leaders and realise ambitions to grow and expand.”
“Leadership skills are vital in modern business and ensure that a company or organisation is pulling in the right direction. They are also important for the personal development of employees.”
“As leader of East Riding of Yorkshire Council, I have seen both great achievements and difficult challenges and it will be these experiences that I will draw on, which I hope will inspire those attending to believe they also can achieve their goals.”
Over 70 people of various career paths and organisations have guaranteed their place. On hearing the numbers Terry said he was looking forward to sharing his experiences with a mix of professionals from across the region. He said:
“Inspirational leadership is a trait at the heart of every great organisation, from the shop floor to the boardroom leadership culture is evident. It’s great to hear so many are keen to hear our stories and advice. I’m hoping attendees will really question us, we’re both very passionate about this topic and I hope we can provide useful insights.”
Paul Sewell, Managing Director of Sewell Group, who will be hosting the debate said:
“Both speakers have a lot of experience within the public and private sectors, they both have a deep understanding of how to deal with different people, in different scenarios, and what it takes to become an outstanding leader. I’m really looking forward to what should be a thought provoking session.”
