Sewell Group has been working with Veolia Environmental Services to create an innovative ‘cloud based’ operations management system, to increase safety and performance in the workplace.

Gavin Smedley, Business Manager, Veolia Environmental Services said:

“We undertake high risk cleaning operations on chemical sites. This activity often involves a large number of staff undertaking a range of activities which need to be tightly controlled and managed safely.”

“We needed a system that would enable the operational management team to control activities, manage the ‘permit to work’ system and assess tasks such as the confined space entry. Having a great safety track record themselves, we approached Sewell Group to work on the development of an online reporting system.”

Sewell was tasked with creating a user friendly system that would improve visibility of operations and also enable the management of a large number of operatives undertaking tasks in many locations.

The system, delivered on time and in budget, has improved functionality, visibility and safety for Veolia.
