Partners behind West Hull Health Hub seek public opinion on road name

With the completion of the new West Hull Health Hub fast approaching, Citycare and its partners, Sewell Construction and Modality Partnership are giving members of the public the opportunity to vote for their favourite name for the road adjacent to the site.

People will be able to select from a list of potential names, linked to the heritage of the site and local area via a survey over the next fortnight.

Existing Springhead Medical Centre patients, local residents, community groups, and Modality staff members are being encouraged to have their say ahead of the final decision from the local Area Committee.

Proposals for new street names in Hull go to the local Area Committee for a decision, which will be made by the Local Ward Councillors based on the results from the survey.

The top three choices will be presented to the West Area Committee on the 13th December.

The £8 million West Hull Health Hub will transform the way Springhead Medical Centre provides care for its patients, becoming part of Modality Primary Care Network in Hull, which has a combined total of more than 85,000 patients across the sub-region.

Due for completion in November, the new build will see the creation of 32 clinical rooms, including GP and nurse consulting rooms, treatment rooms, clinical support spaces and office accommodation, as well as a reception and waiting area, a wheelchair accessible lift, baby changing area and buggy parking, a pharmacy and adjacent car park.

Voting is now closed.
